A Wedding Celebration

Tim Power and his son Tommy, celebrate their union with Ruby Thorne at their May 2008 wedding.  In lieu of wedding favours, they chose to make a donation to the Patient and Family Support Fund of the DHBMCCF and asked their wedding guests to do the same. They felt this was a fitting way to remember Tommy’s mother, Jennifer Benson, who was devoted in her lifetime to helping others in need.

“We wanted to do something that would honour and thank our guests in a way that would have significance beyond our special day.  We would absolutely recommend making a donation.  We know that our donation will have an impact on the care cancer patients will receive in our province.”
