Dr. Kim Hong Endowment Fund
Dr. Kim E. Hong cared for and treated thousands of cancer patients throughout Newfoundland and Labrador during his 35 years as a Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Hong is best known for his compassion and outstanding commitment to his patients and their families.
In 1999, Dr. Hong's friends, colleagues and former patients came together to support an education endowment fund for the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and affiliated regional cancer programs. This Fund honours Dr. Hong and the importance he places on advanced and continuing education for health care professionals.
Educational scholarships and awards are granted annually to staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and affiliated regional cancer programs.
